Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi has impressed audiences with his performance in movies. Having established himself as a credible actor, he likes to keep his private life away from the limelight. However, he has opened up about his son Ayaan’s cancer diagnosis which was a decade ago. The actor has now taken to his official social media handle to pen a heartfelt note for his son, which has left his fans emotional. 

On Saturday, taking to his Instagram handle, Emraan shared an old photo with his son and reminisced how it has been 10 years since his cancer diagnosis. He recalled how despite it being the toughest phase of their life, they overcame it. He wrote, “Been ten years since Ayaan's diagnosis on this very day.... The toughest phase of our lives, but with faith and hope, we overcame it. More importantly, he overcame it... and continues to stand strong. Sharing yet another post with his grown-up son, he wrote, “Always someone I can lean on. My son, my friend, my superhero - Ayaan!!!”


Fans instantly took to the comments section of the posts to share heartfelt messages and motivation towards the father-son duo. For those who don’t know, Ayaan was diagnosed with a rare form of kidney cancer in 2014. After 5 years of battle, he was diagnosis cancer-free in 2019. On the work front, Emraan Hashmi was last seen in Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger 3. He essayed the role of the antagonist which was loved by the fans. The Maneesh Sharma directorial, is a part of YRF’s spy universe including Salman’s Tiger, Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Hrithik Roshan’s Kabir. Apart from the amazing action sequences, the film also has SRK’s cameo and a post-credit scene featuring Hrithik, leaving viewers excited for WAR 2. Fans have been eagerly waiting to see how filmmaker Aditya Chopra will expand the spy universe in the coming years.
